The population increases has been pressure the water resources require, especially by foods production uses. The agricultural segment is responsible for more than sixty per cent of the water consumption in the planet and competes with the human and industries activities. The human activities scale has taken water resources use to its limit, especially in the metropolitan areas. This paper discuss population growth limits pointing out the Brazilian metropolitan areas problems and it’s water situation, showing how each one overstep the sustainable population.
