A EMERGÊNCIA DAS EMPRESAS MULTILATINAS

Resumo

Desde os anos 1990, os fluxos de investimentos oriundos de países periféricos têm aumentado rapidamente, principalmente na forma de aquisição e fusão de empresas, configurando um forte processo de centralização e concentração de capital na escala mundial. A finalidade deste texto é avaliar o papel das empresas multinacionais de origem latino-americana, Multilatinas, nos fluxos de investimentos diretos e identificar os negócios escolhidos, a dimensão espacial dos investimentos, o papel dos governos no avanço internacional, entre outros aspectos. O recorte temporal de análise abrange o início dos anos 1990 até o contexto atual e as fontes de dados baseiam-se nos relatórios disponibilizados pela UNCTAD e CEPAL. The emergence of multilatin enterprises Since the 1990s, investment flows from peripheral countries have rapidly grown through acquisition and merger of companies, setting a strong process of centralization and concentration of capital in the world scale. This article aims to assess the role of Latin America-based multinationals, Multilatinas, in foreign direct investments flows and to identify business chosen, the space dimension of the investments, the role of governments in advancing international, inter alia. The time dimension of analysis includes the early 1990s until the current year. The sources of data include reports provided by UNCTAD and ECLAC. Key words: Production of space. Territorial dynamics.
