Effluent treatment systems and reuse water in the jeans industrial laundries are very important tools in management and environmental business, because water is the main input in the work of these companies. The objective of this work was to characterize and assess the effluent treatment system of a jeans industrial laundry in Peabiru (State of Paraná). It was carried out estimatives of the flowrate in the wastewater treatment plant (WTP), estimatives of the concentrations of chemicals products to the treatment and also analysis of Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), turbidity, conductivity and solids. The flowrate results obtained were: 501.2 m3/day of water that is treated in the plant, 228 m3/day of treated water that is reused by the company, and 138.3 m3/day that follows to the final disposal. The concentration of chemicals products to the treatment was 189.5 mg/L of aluminum sulfate, 271.08 mg/L of hydrated lime and 3.16 mg/L of anion polymer. The removals efficiencies of the WTP in the industrial laundry were: 81% of COD, 79% of turbidity and 29% of total volatile solids. Key words: Textile Industry. Dyes. Effluent Treatment. Water Reuse. Environmental Management. Removal Efficiency.Downloads
