Considerations regarding to neopositivistic geography in Brazil

Abstract

The objectif of this article is to give a contribution to the caracterization of the brazilian neopositivist geographic stream. It will make clear the basic aspects, the historic antecedents wich collaborated to its development in Brazil, as well as the agents of diffusion and the more detached geographers. We pretend also to provide to the students of Geography and to the interested in History of the Geographic Thought an initial text concerning the Brazilian Neopositivist Geography.
