Quantitative methods applied in Geography: an introduction

Abstract

  The objective of this work is to analyze the mathematical-statistical methods most frequently used in Geoography, Placed on the broad problematic of the scientific approach, the importance, advantages and disadvantages of applying quantitative methods in geography are discussed. The different levels of measurement, the basic concepts, the grouping techniques, the measures of central tendency, the measures of sipersion and the normal distribution crude are analyzed later, an efficient analysis of the geographic data. In a second work, the ad
