A GEOGRAFIA CRÍTICA BRASILEIRA NA DÉCADA DE 1980 : TENTATIVAS DE MUDANÇAS RADICAIS

Abstract

The article tries to delineate some characteristics and exponents from the called Radical or Critical Geography in Brazil. It restricts the narration at the end of 1970’s and to the folowing decade, epoch which this tendency has one significant performance. It includes aspects from the historical context and, in a short way, examines the characteristics of this conception of Geography and some of the authors who singularize in this process. Briefly, it analyses the renewal of the Geographic Science and the effort to create a Brazilian slope elaboration by the Critical Geography in the eighties.
