The aim of this study was to analyze the relationship between service and reception with the effect of the attack on the national teams of junior male volleyball. Eleven games were analyzes, totaling 781 actions of attack. The results showed that the point resulted by attack occurred more than expected after the suspension placed service (3.6) and after the reception that allowed all the attack options (3.4). In contrast, this one occurred less than expected after the suspension potent service (-3.4) and the reception that did not allowed an organized attack (-2.5). This study permitted to infer that powerful service and the reception with low levels of efficiency reduces the chances of scoring in the attack. The fact that the opponent’s powerful service introduces lesser occurrences of the attack point may suggest some technical and tactical weakness in its implementation and should be a thing to deserve more attention in training.Downloads
