Abstract

This communication is about the experience taken during a “creative dance” workshop offered during the Laban Meeting in 2002. The aim was to facilitate the teaching-learning process in creative dance through flow elements. The program was based on the following topics: - The “quality of subjective experience” in dance teaching; - Recreative experience in creative dance; - Re-learning movement patterns and their subjective meaning. The experience was arranged with a thematic performance, inspired by Laban´s phylosophical thoughts, beginning with a Corporeal Preparation, Creative Process and Composition, based on his suggestions about “movements related to people and objects”. The experience ended by sharing individual´s compositions in the framework of an integrative presentation.
