Theater education. Walter Benjamin. Memory. Education.Abstract
This article aims to bring questions and reflections about the possibility of theatrical education based on experience reports. Therefore, it proposes a theoretical reflection through a practical work – a dramatic workshop offered by the first author of this article and which becomes the support of the research of his thesis. Seeking the theoretical contributions of Walter Benjamin (1985), this work connects the teaching of performing arts to the field of memory and the practice of real stories. With this, a more democratic and horizontal theatrical education is sought, less affected by academic virtuosity or the naturalism of the elites, and which acquires relevance through the narratives, making the past a unique experience and pontificating the dramatic arts to the reality of who practices it.
